Project Objectives

• We were contacted by UCD to perform soil electro conductivity scanning on a monitor farm looking at soil compaction zones as well as moisture availability. Soil samples were also taken for pH as well as texture analysis so it could be compared with the EC readings

• This was to be done on the plots rather than the field so it would be circa 2 ha.

• There was also a second trial on an 11 acre plot and the sampling process for this was an optifarm zonal soil sampling approach, it was felt a tailored nutrient plan using this sampling method would be very beneficial.
